WHAT DO WE DO?
Housed in the Center for Women and Gender Equity, we provide education to the campus community and advocacy on behalf of all students, staff and faculty survivors of sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking.
Survivor Advocacy Services takes a victim-centered and trauma-informed approach to create a support network for survivors. We also focus on a sensitive and proficient approach toward supporting survivors to minimize the trauma experienced.
WHAT TO EXPECT
WHEN CAN I ACCESS AN ADVOCATE?
Regardless of when an assault occurred or when the dating/domestic violence/stalking began, Survivor Advocacy Services is here to serve you and help you make informed decisions. Survivor Advocacy Services is committed to creating safe spaces for survivors of all races, religions, sexual orientations and genders.
WHAT IS LIMITED CONFIDENTIALITY?
Staff members acting as advocates for Survivor Advocacy Services have limited confidentiality. They are required to report only general information about incidents of gender-based violence, such as the nature, date, time and general location of the incident and will take care to avoid reporting personally identifiable information about a survivor. Advocates consult with survivors on information to be withheld to protect privacy.
OUR OFFICE
