The Staff Senate is a group of all regular benefits-eligible university employees not represented by the Faculty Senate or the Chancellor’s Strategy Team (formerly known as the Executive Leadership Team) and includes both non-exempt and exempt staff. 

The purpose of the Staff Senate shall be to foster a spirit of unity and cooperation among all employees of UTC, to consider methods and means by which employment conditions may be improved at UTC, to receive and consider matters concerning working conditions of membership, to make such recommendations it deems appropriate to promote and support the strategic goals and vision of UTC, and to provide a means of communicating problems of mutual concern between the Staff Senate and the Chancellor’s Strategy Team.
