Sara Peters has been at UTC since 2005 when she was hired as the Coordinator of Education and Advocacy for the Transformation Project serving as the campus’ only victim advocate. In 2008 she became the founding Director of the UTC Center for Women and Gender Equity and developed Survivor Advocacy Services within the Center. Sara earned both her B.A. and M.A. in History from Auburn University. Currently, she is working on her doctorate in the Learning and Leadership Program at UTC. Sara enjoys her time with her four cats (Simon, Calvin, Maggie, and Henry) and the two dogs (Josh and Alice).
