Lauren works as an Assistant Director for the Center for Women and Gender Equity at UTC. Her primary focus is advising the student leadership board, CASE (Coalition Advocating for Student Empowerment) and managing programs/events for the Center. She received her Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership with a minor in Psychology from Wright State University in 2014. She went on to receive her Masters of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Wright State University in 2016, where she served as the Graduate Assistant in the Women's Center on campus. During that time she completed research on the Experiences of the Millennial Generation with Politics and Power in Higher Education. Lauren has a passion for advocating for students and empowering them through their identity development. In her spare time Lauren enjoys hiking, playing with her dog Griffey, trying new local restaurants and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
