Chattanooga Theatre Companies

Chattanooga Theatre Centre
Founded in 1923 as the Little Theatre of Chattanooga, the CTC is one of the oldest, largest, and busiest community theatres in the country. Their fifteen productions per year - seen by audiences of more than 50,000 - are created by hundreds of talented volunteers and represent theatrical experiences of the highest caliber. The mission of the Chattanooga Theatre Centre, in brief, is to enhance the community through quality theatrical experiences.

Theater for the New South
Theater for the New South creates articulate experimental theatre that surpasses preconceived theatrical expectations through discovering and unveiling truths in re-envisioned classics and provocative new work.
TFNS utilizes found spaces to enhance the story and experience of each show.
Muse of Fire
The Muse of Fire Project is a cool after-school theater club for kids from all over Chattanooga. Kids from a variety of backgrounds come together at The Downtown Public Library once a week for ten weeks to create original theater pieces. Adults then act the plays in front of a live audience. Our work is based on The 52nd Street Project in New York City and Daniel Sklar’s book, “Playmaking: Children Writing and Performing their own Plays”.
