Anthropology seniors to spend the summer working for the Southeast Conservation Corps
McKenzie McCurdy and George Nguyen, two Anthropology-focused seniors, recently received paid internships with the Southeast Conservation Corps and will be working as archaeological technicians on a crew that will be conducting section 106 compliance work at Gulf Islands National Seashore, a unit of the National Park Service, this summer.
McKenzie and George will spend the summer testing and excavating archaeological sites within the national seashore, which spans the gulf coasts of western Florida, Alabama, and eastern Mississippi.
