“Migration and Crossing Borders in Zahra, favorita de Al-Andalús.” Teatro: Revista de Estudios Culturales / A Journal of Cultural Studies: Vol. 30, No. 30 (2016): 109-27. This article examines the trope of migration in the Antonio Bueno Mingallón’s Zahra. Using postmodern theories related to space, the article explores ways in which the play deconstructs geographic, temporal, and gender boundaries, allowing it to reflect upon the position of women in modern society in Spain’s past and present, as well as to deal with the contemporary trend of immigration in a national and global context.
