Sponsored by the Department of History, the Asian Student Association (ASA) was founded in November 2021 and creates a space on campus for Asian-heritage students at UTC to connect with fellow peers and socialize through cultural events and opportunities. Past events include a Lunar New Year Potluck, Game Night, and Asian Art Appreciation. ASA is open to any UTC student, regardless of race or ethnicity.

ASA’s mission is to foster a community of Asian students on campus and create a more diverse student body, as well as encourage Asian students to take on leadership roles and learn how to network within the local community. Furthermore, ASA also collaborates with other UTC departments to host campus-wide events and panels in recognition of AAPI Heritage Month.
