About the Minor
To earn a minor in Asian Studies, students must:

Complete 18 credit hours
-
Minimum 2.0 average in the minor

Eight credit hours must be at the 3000 level or above
-
Six credit hours may be applied to a major/concentration
-
No more than two courses in the major can count toward the minor
-
No more than two courses in an Asian language course can count toward the minor.
Note that courses on the Middle East might not count toward the minor. Please consult with the director of the Asian Studies Program ([email protected]) before you register for such course to count toward the minor.
A course must contain at least 50% content on Asia to be considered to count as an Asian Studies course.
Consult the director of the Asian Studies Program to verify if a language is considered an Asian language to count toward the minor.
