The Sustainable Mocs residential learning community introduces students to the interdisciplinary nature of biology, geology, and environmental science as each discipline interacts with issues related to sustainability. Students engage with BGE faculty and staff in the classroom, the lab, and the field. Community residents visit regional aquariums, museums, natural areas, and zoos and interact with each other and with BGE faculty and staff at special community social events.
