Alzheimer’s Dementia and Other Related Dementias: An Evidence Based Update on Collaboration, Early Detection, and Cause of Death
A high level continuing education curriculum for health care providers and their staff.
This five module provider education curriculum is geared towards an audience of primary health care providers but is applicable to any interprofessional discipline or support staff for providers. The modules are led by content experts and are pre-recorded to maximize availability for the audience.
A virtual conference will be held May 3-7, 2021. The modules will be posted for viewing one week prior to the conference and viewers will be offered the opportunity to submit questions related to the content presented in each module. The submitted questions will be sorted a given to each module content expert. An abbreviated version of each module will be presented live each day by the content expert with ample time for questions and discussion to allow for a deeper exploration of the concepts and achievement of the course and module objectives. Post-conference, the modules will remain available for viewing for 60 days and the ability to submit questions will be provided. Answers for the submitted questions will be sent via email.
Curriculum Objectives:
- Present current standards of best practice related to the evaluation and treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease and other related dementias (ADRD) from an interprofessional approach.
2. Review the framework, tools, and resources for early detection and diagnosis of ADRD.
3. Analyze guidelines for completing death certificates for those with ADRD.
4. Collaborate with participants to identify opportunities to further engage primary care providers.
