If you have previously submitted recommendations or want to check on the status of a current recommendation, please select “Sign In.” Once you log in, you will need to select the “Go to Recommendations” button to proceed. FAQs How do I resolve an account verification issue? You must log into your email account to verify your email address before you will be able to complete the recommendation. Make sure you are clicking on the link in the verification email to activate your account. Where did my recommender verification email go? If you haven’t received your invite or verification email, you should: Check your spam/junk folder. Contact the SET Office to manually verify the account. You can reach us at [email protected] or 423-425-1776. Can I send my recommendation letter to the SET Office or sponsoring program directly? No. There is an additional form that accompanies the recommendation that must be submitted to complete this process. The information must be entered in the UTC Application Portal. Can I use the same account to provide multiple recommendations? Yes! We encourage using the same account for all recommendations. This can be done by advising students to send invites to a designated email address. The SET Office can also merge accounts if more than one account already exists. This will keep all your recommendations in one convenient location. What are other helpful tips that could help me during the recommendation process? The preferred browser for our UTC Application Portal is Microsoft Edge. Make sure your browser’s pop-up blocker is disabled. If the pop-up blocker isn’t disabled, then it may be stopping your progression through the portal. If the platform doesn’t seem to be functioning correctly try using another device or a different browser.
