* Optometry programs require one course in calculus, students can enroll in either MATH 1830 or MATH 1950 based on major requirement. Students must also take MATH 1799 with 1830 prior to enrolling in PHYS 1030 due to the triginometry content featured in PHYS 1030 that is not covered in 1830.
** Many programs require PSY 1010 and 2 semesters of social sciences credit. As programs consider Anthropology a social science students should look to enroll in ANTH 1200 as their second social science for optometry school in order to meet CPOS requirements for majors with little to no electives space. This will allow PSY 1010 to count for 1 SSCI requirement and them to select a 2nd SSCI general education course to meet major and CPOS requirements. ANTH 1200 will count as a non-western cultural general educaiton course for major and CPOS requirements, and a second social science course for optometry school.
*** Many programs require 1 semester of organic chemistry and 1 semester of biochemistry. As CHEM 3020/3020L (organic chemistry 2) is a prerequiste for Biochemistry (CHEM 4510) students must take 3020 as well.
