UTC Faculty Information for Testing
Using the UTC Testing Center for Classroom Exams
The UTC Testing Center is available to assist faculty with administering classroom exams and providing students with a secure, convenient testing environment.
Step 1: Complete the Proctor Form
If you would like to use the Testing Center for your exam, please complete and submit the Testing Center Proctor Form. This form provides us with the information we need to prepare for your exam, including:
- Course name and number
- Number of students expected to test
- Exam date(s) and testing window
- Amount of time students are allowed to complete the exam
- Approved testing aids (such as notes, calculators, or other materials)
- Any special instructions or accommodations (extended time (time and a half or double time) or reduced distraction) we need to be aware of
Once completed, the Proctor Form can be emailed to [email protected].
A completed Proctor Form is required before we can administer an exam. This allows us to ensure that we have the appropriate instructions and resources in place for your students.
Step 2: Provide the Exams
If your entire class will be taking the exam through the Testing Center, the instructor is responsible for printing and providing the exams to the Testing Center before the scheduled testing window.
Please make sure we receive the correct number of exams and any materials or instructions needed for administration.
Step 3: We Handle the Testing
Once we have received the completed Proctor Form and exams, the Testing Center will administer the exam according to the instructions provided.
We will help ensure that students receive the appropriate amount of testing time and that any approved testing aids or instructions are followed.
No exam can be administered through the Testing Center without a completed Proctor Form. Please submit the form and any required exam materials in advance so we have time to prepare for your students.
