Welcome to the History Department Scholarship Application!
Each year, the Department of History awards multiple scholarships, ranging in value from approximately $1000-$2000. In addition to providing financial support, these scholarships celebrate student achievement and demonstrate academic excellence to future employers and/or graduate school admissions committees. Therefore, in selecting recipients, the History faculty consider students’ academic performance, departmental engagement, and financial need. Only current UTC History majors are eligible, and previous scholarship recipients may apply (though any prior funding from the department will be taken into account). We will give priority to students who have completed at least two History courses at UTC and maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher in departmental coursework. We encourage you to spend at least thirty minutes completing this application form, and to make sure that you fill out and submit all required forms by the established deadlines (which will be published and circulated each year).
