Biography
Stephen Brannen has been a professional musician for over 35 years - in Nashville, across the U.S., and abroad. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2015 after 20 years as a guitarist in the Air Force band career field, having played for millions over the years and covering a wide range of styles to include pop, rock, jazz, country, Classical, Broadway, and more. He has performed on electric and acoustic guitars, vocals, piano, synthesizers, banjo, percussion, saxophone, and other instruments.
Stephen moved from Colorado Springs, CO to Cleveland, TN in Summer 2015, and since then has been an adjunct professor of music at UT Chattanooga since Fall of that same year. He teaches guitar as well as courses in music appreciation and music technology.
Originally a Music Theory and Composition major, Mr. Brannen received his Bachelor of Science in Recording Industry: Production and Technology from Middle Tennessee State University in 1999. While still serving in the USAF, he earned his Master of Arts in Music Education from Adams State University in 2015.
