About SCJS
About SCJS
- The Department of Social, Cultural, & Justices Studies is a multidisciplinary department essential to the development of constructive interactions in a global economy and world. Anthropology, Criminal Justice, and Sociology are sister disciplines that deal with different aspects of human behavior. Geography is often paired with Anthropology because understanding our world from cultural and physical perspectives is integral to studying people. In addition, many social scientists (including faculty in this department) use geographic information systems (GIS) to map and record human activity and behavior. We provide UTC undergraduates and graduate students with Anthropology, Geography, Criminal Justice, and Sociology instruction through our minor's, bachelor's, and master's programs.
