Interim Director, Writing and Communication Center
The UTC Library seeks a creative and user-focused professional for the position of Interim Director of the Writing and Communication Center.
Under the direction of the Dean of the Library, the Interim Director of the Writing and Communication Center (WCC) oversees the Center’s initiatives to assist UTC students and community members at all levels to strengthen their academic writing through face-to-face and online writing support. The incumbent will provide direct services to students and faculty, and hire, train, and supervise a diverse staff comprised of student peer tutors, a graduate assistant, and a part time staff member. The Library is currently hiring for a Part Time Public Services Specialist to work evening and weekend shifts at two of the Library’s main service points. View full job description (pdf).

The majority of the student worker positions at the UTC Library are Federal Work Study (FWS) assignments administered through the Financial Aid Office. The library also hires a limited number of non-FWS students, usually at the beginning of the fall term, although we do sometimes have openings at other times during the year.
