Graduation Participation Guidelines

 

  • Participation Guidelines for Undergraduate Students

    • Undergraduate students applying for graduation must apply online. The Application for Graduation is located in MyMocsNet on the Academics Tab.
      • Applications must be submitted online by the following dates:
        • Spring Graduation     October 15th
        • Summer Awarding    March 15th
        • Fall Graduation          June 15th
      • After the deadline date, late applications may be submitted with a $50 late fee. No late applications will be accepted after the following dates:
        • Spring Graduation     April 1st
        • Summer Awarding     July 5th
        • Fall Graduation          November 1st
    • Undergraduate students requesting to walk early will be considered based upon the following conditions:
      • Student has submitted an Application for Graduation for the semester the student intends to graduate
      • Student has 20 or fewer credit hours to complete
      • Student has met all minimum GPA requirements (Major, UTC, Institutional)
      • Please note: any student participating in a ceremony other that the term in which they are graduating, your diploma will not be issued until the degree is conferred.

    • Graduate students (students in graduate level programs) applying for graduation must apply online. The Application for Graduation is located in MyMocsNet on the Academics Tab.
      • Applications must be submitted online by the following dates:
        • Spring Graduation     October 15th
        • Summer Awarding    March 15th
        • Fall Graduation          June 15th
      • After the deadline date, late applications may be submitted with a $50 late fee. No late applications will be accepted after the following dates:
        • Spring Graduation     April 1st
        • Summer Awarding     July 5th
        • Fall Graduation          November 1st
    • Graduate students requesting to walk early will be considered based upon the following conditions:
      • Has submitted an Application for Graduation online
      • Student is participating in a non-thesis or non-dissertation program OR
      • Students participating in a thesis or dissertation must have their thesis or dissertation defended and approved
      • Student must be within 6 hours of completion
      • Student is registered for the remaining hours
      • Student must meet the minimum required GPA
      • Please note: any student participating in a ceremony other that the term in which they are graduating, your diploma will not be issued until the degree is conferred.
