Beth serves as adjunct instructor, teaching ear training at UTC.  In addition to her duties at UTC, she gives flute lessons and performs with Northwest Georgia Winds and the Rome Flute ensemble.  Previously she has taught at Kent State University and University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Ms. Huey holds degrees from Youngstown State University, Kent State University, and is currently ABD at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she is working on her dissertation.  Her research interests include aural skills, pedagogy, counterpoint, minimalism, and tuning systems.
