Recent Advances in Linear Algebra and Graph Theory

March 5-6, 2016 (Saturday–Sunday)

Department of Mathematics

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

This conference honors the career of Dr. Ronald L. Smith, upon the occasion of his retirement, in recognition of his many important contributions in linear algebra and graph theory. This meeting aims to stimulate research and to foster interaction of mathematicians in all aspects of linear algebra and graph theory and to provide an opportunity for researchers to exchange ideas and developments on these research areas.

The Chattanoogan Hotel     (1201 Broad Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402)

For this conference, The Chattanoogan will extend the $95.00 rate; however, on Saturday night – there is a two night minimum stay required. This means if someone wants to stay Friday and Saturday nights, they could receive the $95.00 rate and all is good. However, if someone is only interested in staying one night, Saturday night, the $95.00 would not be available to them. Instead, they would pay a higher rate (or opt for two nights Fri.-Sat. or Sat.-Sun. at $95.00 per night).

There is no contracted room block and the rooms are based on availability so please plan ahead and book hotel rooms as early as possible as the price may increase significantly later.

To make reservations, you may call our Hotel Reservations at 800-619-0018 and ask for the UTC rate for the weekend of March 4-7, 2016. Or if you prefer to do things online, please use the following link: UTC March 5 & 6, 2016 Guest Rooms at The Chattanoogan, where you will be able to check availability for the dates they need and make their reservation based on availability. If you book only the Saturday night, the $95.00 rate will no longer be available, but you will be able to make a reservation at the prevailing rate should availability allow.
