Music Department Mission:
To cultivate a passion for musical excellence by providing the highest quality education.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has been an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music since 1933. The Department offers undergraduate degrees in performance, music education and theory/composition, as well as graduate degrees in performance and music education.
The faculty members are highly qualified active recitalists, chamber music, conductors, and members of local professional performing organizations; most have earned the terminal degree in their field.
