Dr. Kong is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at UTC. In August
2005, he joined the faculty of the Mathematics Department at UTC after receiving his
Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Northern Illinois University. At UTC, He teaches
a wide variety of courses, ranging from lower level courses such as college algebra
all the way through calculus to our graduate courses. His expertise and research interests
are in the general areas of differential equations and he has published extensively
in these areas. He has been invited to give talks at many national and international
conferences. He is currently serving in the editorial boards of three international
mathematical journals and he has been invited to referee papers for more than three
dozens of mathematical journals.
