I  joined the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Walker Center for Teaching and Learning in April  2014 as a Senior Instructional Developer. I now have 16 years of experience working as an academic technology consultant and developer. I also have teaching experience as an adjunct faculty member with TBR's Regents Online Degree Program and UTC's First Year Experience program.

Within the WCTL, my primary role is supporting faculty in UTC’s mission of excellence in instruction and student learning.
I enjoy working with faculty on specific areas of interest, including using technology to enhance student learning. I have been involved with faculty across campus, from New Faculty Orientation, Adjunct Faculty Orientation, the Course Redesign Program, Quality Matters, and one-on-one teaching and learning faculty consultations. I have coordinated a research writing accountability group on campus for two years. I am primarily interested in empathic teaching, deep learning, and helping new faculty find their teaching persona.

Since coming to UTC, I have enjoyed participating in the Read2Achieve program on campus and Freshman Orientation sessions through the WCTL's ThinkAchieve program. If you are interested in experiential learning with your students, please let  me know.

I am a District Leader for the HSUS, and also a shelter volunteer for McKamey. I still feel new to Chattanooga, having been a lifelong Memphian and graduate of The University of Memphis (Go Tigers!).  I have a BA ('95) in Art History and Theater, and an MAT ('97) in Education. My husband and I enjoy learning about our hometown and all of the beautiful parks and mountains in the area.
