Call for Proposals to Present at the UTC Instructional Excellence Conference 2017

Use of Technology in Instructional Design

May 9th-10th, 2017

This conference provides an opportunity for faculty to share innovative teaching methods related to integration of technology to achieve course student learning outcomes. The conference will feature a keynote speaker on the afternoon of May 9th with hands-on workshops and faculty presentations on May 10th.

We are seeking proposals for 45-minute presentations/workshops and one-hour poster presentations on May 10th related to the theme. Presentations should focus on pedagogical techniques that can be used in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online classes. Some possible topics for presentations may include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating assignments that require technology
  • Mobile apps for learning
  • Gamification
  • Using technology for student engagement

 This is a competitive process and proposals will be reviewed with following criteria:

Relevance to the theme (Use of Technology in Instructional Design)

Appropriateness for the audience

Measurable outcomes for presentation

Plan for engaging the audience in the presentation (hands-on activities preferred)
