Learning Management System (LMS) Review
UTC's Learning Management System (LMS) is integral to providing a student-centered learning environment. To ensure the best possible learning experience for our students and an optimal platform for course delivery, Academic Affairs is facilitating a LMS review. We have used Blackboard Learn for a number of years and it is time to conduct an assessment so that we provide a reliable online environment with the most current and flexible tools and technology to promote student learning.
- Conduct a fair and impartial assessment
- Gather requirements and feedback from students, faculty, and staff
- Support UTC’s mission and strategic plan
- Recommend a LMS that meets educational and technical needs
The evaluation will include a LMS survey, a committee evaluation, pilot courses in Canvas, and campus vendor visits (Blackboard Learn, Canvas). Data from the review will be shared on this webpage as it becomes available. The projected timeline is shown below.
