Registered Student Organizations
Whether you are looking for professional development around your major or just a group of like-minded people, getting involved in registered student organizations is a great opportunity. Student Government Association
As the voice of the undergraduate population at UTC, the Student Government Association leads the way in advocating for the student experience. SGA leaders work collaboratively with key administration and community stakeholders to ensure the student voice is heard through creating initiatives and inspiring change.

Campus Activities Board
The Campus Activities Board is committed to "connecting Mocs to campus entertainment," as UTC's chief student-run programming body. The board provide fun, free events all year long open to all. Events include exclusive movie nights, concerts, comedy shows, arts programs, the annual Drag Show and much more!

Black Student Alliance
As a liaison between the university and African-American students, Black Student Alliance encourages groups to connect in idea and activity. Their goal is to promote political, cultural, educational and social activities to develop characteristics of scholarship, civic duty, leadership, organization, recreation and diversity.

Fraternities & Sororities
Involvement in fraternity and sorority life at UTC provides students the opportunity be part of values-based organizations committed to leadership, civic engagement and community. Over 15 percent of Mocs are part of one of the 27 inter/national groups, across four councils. The recruitment for groups varies.

St. Jude Up 'til Dawn
St. Jude Up 'til Dawn is a student-run, leadership organization committed to providing awareness about childhood cancer and fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The group recruits students to join fundraising teams through side events & outreach. Teams are invited to "stay up til dawn" to celebrate their hard work and honor families affected by cancer. Homecoming Student Steering Committee
The Homecoming Student Steering Committee is a group of student leaders who help plan exciting events and promote the tradition of homecoming to the student body. Popular events like kickoff, the annual lip sync variety show and Homecoming After Dark inspire Mocs to come together to celebrate school spirit.

Student Media Groups
Our campus is home to four student-run, student media organizations - a newspaper, internet radio station, television station and literary magazine. These groups provide students real-world experience in the fields of english, mass communications, marketing and graphic design.

Campus Ministries
Campus ministries at UTC provide students the opportunity to further explore their faith development. The groups provide weekly events like bible studies, free meals, mission trips and leadership retreats in a non-pressure, community focused environment. Most groups have gathering spaces within walking distance of campus.

Something missing? Start a student organization!
Any current student at can create a registered student organization. at UTC. Criteria include a minimum of five interest students, a faculty/staff advisor and creating organization documents. The process is easy and our office, in collaboration with Student Government Association can help you along the way!
