Dr. Womack is an assistant professor at UTC.  She received her PhD from the University of Alabama in 2017, where her research focused on policy and practice evaluation strategies in public child welfare systems.  She has presented her research at social work conferences and conducted workshops in teaching strategies for undergraduate social work education.  She has served as a field instructor, field supervisor and taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels.  Additional research interests include assessment strategies of complex organizations and the influence of social trends on professional social work education.  Prior to pursuing her research interests, she spent 10 years working with a state public child welfare agency on assessing and implementing strategies to support a major practice reform effort.
