Praxis Exam Requirements for Tennessee Licensure 2017-18

You can apply for Clinical Practice, but you cannot register or receive a placement until you have provided documentation that you have passed all required Praxis exams for your licensure (see below). Scores must be received by UTC by the dates listed below in order to be allowed to register for Clinical Practice.

Official scores must be received by July 15 for Fall Semester Residency II (SOE) and Student Teaching (Non-SOE) and November 30 for Spring Semester Residency II (SOE) and Student Teaching (Non-SOE).

Praxis scores are valid for five years.

Test required for TEP Admission: All tests taken after July 14, 2014 must be the Praxis I: Core Academic Skills for Educators. Praxis I: PPST is accepted if passing scores are from a test date prior to July 15, 2014.
