Performance Presentations

For individuals or groups of faculty, staff, and students who want to showcase their creative talents through a musical or dramatic performance to a larger audience, they should participate in performance presentations in the UC Auditorium.

Elevator Speech Competition

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the 3rd annual Elevator Speech competition.  Faculty will have 4 minutes to make a pitch for support of their research, scholarship, engagement, or creative activity.  See the competition guidelines for details.  There are up to 18 available slots for presenters and all presenters must be available during the allotted competition time:  3:00 – 4:30 on Wednesday, April 4.  If the event is oversubscribed a pre-pitch competition will be used to select participants.  A panel of 5-7 community judges will select a winner for each topical category (STEM, Health, Arts & Humanities, and Social Sciences) who will receive a $1,500 mini-grant to support their pitch and a grand prize winner will be selected for the VCR Prize: allocation of a part-time graduate assistantship for the 2018-19 academic year.

To watch videos of last year's elevator speech competition participants check out our RESEARCH Dialogues Archives page.
