Enrollment Certification Process


  • The VA School Certifying Official will evaluate any prior credit earned upon receipt of official transcript and grant credit as appropriate to degree requirements

  • The School Official will review your registration to determine which courses apply to your degree requirements and are certifiable to VA

  • Applicable courses will be certified with Department of Veterans Affairs by the School Certifying Official

  • The VA School Certifying Official will notify you of any courses you are registered for that cannot be certified to VA

Subsequent Semesters

  • The VA School Certifying Official will automatically certify your registration for subsequent semesters

**Note: For students utilizing the GI Bill benefit for the first time at UTC, you must contact the School Certifying Official to initiate the process for using your educational benefit.
