Psychology Department Advising

Psychology majors are required to meet with an advisor each semester.  Meetings with advisors in the Psychology Department are made by appointment.  You can use any faculty member you want as an advisor.  Just call or email the faculty member to schedule an appointment or call Susan Long in the Psychology Office at 423-425-4262 and she will deliver a message.

Psychology majors can also seek advisement from our Academic Advisor, Angelique Cook.  Her office is in 347 Holt Hall and her phone number is 423-425-5366.

Each semester, in advance of priority registration, the Psychology Department offers an open advisement period.  For two weeks in October and March, sign-up sheets for advisement appointments are made available in the Psychology Office in 350 Holt Hall.

Be sure to bring a copy of your MYMOCSDEGREE sheet to your advisement appointment.  An important concern will always be that you understand why you are taking particular courses.  An advisor can look at your proposed schedule and confirm that it meets the degree requirements listed on your MYMOCSDEGREE sheet.  Once that is confirmed, you will receive your advisement code.

We look forward to seeing you!
