Dr. Thul received her BSN in 1991 from Minot State University where she was enrolled in a direct commissioning program with the US Navy Nurse Corps.  While serving as a Nurse Corps officer, Dr. Thul graduated with her MSN/Nurse Midwifery from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2002.  She received her DNP from Frontier Nursing University in 2012.

  • Area of research interest: Improving entrepreneurial knowledge & skills among advanced practice nurses to include CNMs, CRNAs, FNPs. Research works include Evaluation of the Current Knowledge Deficit Related to Entrepreneurial Practices among Nurse-Midwives (2012-2015), and Use of Language Translation Technology to reduce Health Disparities (2015-present).
