Dr. Susan Davidson is the RN-BSN Gateway Coordinator in the UTC School of Nursing. Dr. Davidson started with an Associate of Science degree in nursing from Southern Adventist University, the BSN from the University of the State of New York – Albany, the Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Andrews University, the Doctor of Education (EdD) in Higher Education Administration from UT-Knoxville and the post masters certificate as a family nurse practitioner (FNP) from UT-Chattanooga. Dr. Davidson has clinical experience in every aspect of acute care nursing, home health nursing and hospital administration. She currently practices at a primary care/urgent care clinic. In addition, she has taught in the traditional BSN program, the nurse practitioner program and the nurse anesthesia program, both undergraduate and graduate courses. She is currently licensed as a certified family nurse practitioner in the state of Tennessee and Georgia and has instructor certification from the American Heart Association to teach Health Care Provider Basic Life Support. Dr. Davidson has a number of publications and has presented nationally and internationally on student success as well as practice issues.
