Professor Robyn Tobias joined the faculty in 2013, teaching in the RN-BSN Gateway program. She received her both her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Masters of Science in Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is currently enrolled in the PhD in Nursing at East Tennessee State University with plans to graduate in 2020. Her dissertation research is nursing education with an emphasis of connectedness in online education. Prof. Tobias other research interests includes resilience in Holocaust survivors, physical assessment skills of nurses, and alcohol use of oncology nurses. She has 12 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in critical care. She also has five years’ experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She currently practices in a family practice/urgent care clinic. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International.
