Dr. Angel Collier received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1995 from Kennesaw State University and her Master’s in Nursing Education in 2009 from University of Phoenix.  In 2017, she completed her PhD from East Tennessee State University with a focus on clinical nursing education.  From her research, Dr. Collier has a publication in the Journal of Clinical Nursing entitled “Characteristics of an Effective Clinical Instructor: The State of the Science.”  She has 22 years of experience as an obstetric nursing.  She is a certified as a Registered Nursing in In-Patient Obstetrics and is currently an Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring instructor for the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses’ (AWHONN).  She also has experience as an operating room nurse in Cardiovascular surgery.  She is certified in Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and STABLES. Dr. Collier is currently serving as the Associate Director of the School of Nursing.
