Prof. Angel Collier received her Master’s in Nursing Education in 2009 from University of Phoenix.  She is currently in her final stages of her PhD in Nursing with plans to graduate at the end of Fall 2017.  Her area of focus is undergraduate clinical nursing with a publication in the Journal of Clinical Nursing entitled “Characteristics of an Effective Clinical Instructor: The State of the Science”.  She has 22 years of experience as an obstetric nursing.  She is a certified as a Registered Nursing in In-Patient Obstetrics and is currently an Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring instructor for the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses’ (AWHONN).  She also has experience as an operating room nurse in Cardiovascular surgery.  She is certified in Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and STABLES.
