COVID-19 Updates for The School of Nursing
Program Changes Due to COVID-19
Options for S/NC
The week of March 23, students were sent an email from University administration regarding the option of taking an S/NC in place of a letter grade for the Spring 2020 semester only. Each student in our program has received an email outlining the implications for you in regard to your choice to opt in to choosing S/NC for your grades. Please make sure you refer to that email before you decide. Progression and/or graduation from the School may be impacted by your choice. The professional advisors, your faculty or program coordinators are ready to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
As you all know by now, our May graduation celebration has been postponed until August
7th and 8th. Please check back here as we finalize those plans. While we are disappointed that
the May graduation will not happen, we are thrilled that our Nurse Anesthesia students
who graduate in August of each year will have an opportunity to celebrate their achievements
along with the other graduates of the School of Nursing. Stay tuned for details.
Online Coursework for Summer
As of this week, the courses which are always online in the summer sessions will continue as planned. The didactic courses which are usually face to face will be offered online. Individual faculty will determine whether these will be synchronous classes or some other combination. Please watch for emails from either your program coordinator or individual faculty regarding the final decision regarding the modality for summer courses.
