Earn a Certificate & an MBA Degree
The Business Analytics Certificate combined with an MBA can be a powerful combination. See the following for information about how to earn both through the Gary W. Rollins College of Business:
- Start with the MBA

If you already meet the MBA prerequisites, take two of the required business analytic certificate classes as two of your three required MBA electives and complete the ten remaining MBA courses. Then just take the two remaining data analytic required classes to earn both the MBA degree and the Business Analytics certificate. This results in a total of 14 courses, four of which must be the required Business Analytics courses, required to earn both the MBA degree and the Business Analytics Graduate Certificate.
Note: Only the general track MBA can be combined with the certificate.

Complete the certificate and then apply to the MBA general or analytics concentrations. If admitted to the MBA, you can count three of your required business analytics certificate classes towards MBA elective requirements. If you already meet MBA prerequisite requirements, you then would have only nine remaining MBA classes left to earn the master's degree.
Note: Only the MBA general and analytics concentrations can be combined with the certificate.

Apply to the UTC MBA general track program and if you already meet the MBA prerequisites, take the required MBA classes and the required certificate courses. The University will let you use two of your four Business Analytics Certificate courses towards MBA elective requirements. As a result, you need a total of 14 courses, four of which must be the required Business Analytics Certificate courses, to earn both the MBA degree and the Business Analytics Graduate Certificate.
