UTC Symphony Orchestra - March 29, 2020, 3:00 p.m.



The UTC Symphony Orchestra will present its Spring Concert in the C.C. Bond Humanities Theatre at Chattanooga State Community College at 3:00 p.m. on March 29, 2020.  This free concert will include Antonin Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World”.  Dvořák wrote this much-loved work in 1893 while he was the director of the National Conservatory of Music of America from 1892 to 1895.  The concert will open with Thus Do You Fare, My Jesus attributed to J.S. Bach and orchestrated by Alfred Reed.  


This 65-member college/community orchestra includes university music majors and non-majors from UTC and Chattanooga State, UTC music faculty members, area music educators, and other talented amateur and professional musicians from the region.  The orchestra is conducted by Sandy Morris.
