Major Kevin A. Beavers is a native of Chattanooga, TN and was commissioned as a 2LT in Air Defense Artillery upon graduating the United States Military Academy at
WestPoint in 2008 and was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA. Following his first duty station Major
Beavers attended the Air Defense Artillery Captain Career Course, Joint Firepower
Course, and is now the Department Head of Military Science (Army ROTC) at the University
of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Previous deployments include: 10 month split based CENTCOM deployment from May 2014 to February 2015 as HHB/3-4 ADAR Commander in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. 12 month deployment to Basra, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with 5-5 ADA as a Platoon Leader and Battery Executive Officer to conduct Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar missions throughout United States Forces – Iraq (USFI) -South.
Previous assignments include: Avenger Platoon Leader, 5 th Battalion, 5 th Air Defense Artillery, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA; Battery Executive Officer, 5 th Battalion, 5 th AirDefense Artillery, JBLM, WA; Commander, Delta Battery, 3-4 ADAR, Fort Bragg, NC,Commander, Headquarters Headquarters Battery, 3-4 ADAR, Board Recorder for theDepartment of Army Secretariat, Fort Knox, KY.
Major Beavers holds a Bachelors of Science in Law and Legal Studies from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and a Masters in Leadership Management from the University of Texas at El Paso. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (3OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3OLC), Army Achievement Medal, Ranger Tab, Air Assault Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Combat Action Badge. Major Beavers is the son of Sid and Janice Beavers, older brother to Staff Sergeant (Ret.) Scott Beavers.
MAJ Beavers is married to the former Stefanie Lee Wittler of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee and has one daughter named Stella.
