SSG Courland C. Leamon is a native of North Carolina. He began his career in the military on 30 August 2010 where he conducted One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort LeonardWood, MO.

SSG Leamon has served successfully in numerous positions of responsibility. His position and assignments include: Gunner, 563rd MP CO, Fort Drum, NY, Team Leader, 563rd MPCO, Fort Drum, NY; Desk Sergeant, 55th MP CO, Camp Casey, South Korea; SquadLeader, 549th MP CO, Fort Stewart, GA. He currently serves as a Military Science Instructor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

SSG Leamon has deployed to Afghanistan in Support of Operations Enduring Freedom 12-13 and Germany in Support of the Operation Atlantic Resolve in 2017.

SSG Leamon’s military education includes: Basic Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leader Course, Special Reaction Team Phase 1 and 2, Air Assault, Combative’s , Hazmat Driver Instructor, Master Fitness Trainer, Equal Opportunity Leader,Army Basic Instructor Course, Master Resilience Training and Military History InstructorCourse. He has an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Purdue University as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a Concentration in Homeland Security. Hecurrent working towards his Master Science in Organizational Leadership.

SSG Leamon awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (3th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1 Campaign Stars), Global War onTerrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon(Numeral 2), Korean Defense Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas ServiceRibbon (Numeral 3), NATO Medal, Basic Army Instructor Badge, Air Assault Badge,Drivers Badge, German Army Marksmanship Badge (Bronze), and the German ArmyProficiency Badge (Bronze).

SSG Leamon is married to Krystle Leaman and has one child Cereniti Leamon.
