Student Resources

The Department of Mathematics provides support not only its own majors and programs but also other programs requiring mathematics courses such as engineering, business, and the natural sciences. The department also provides a wide variety of courses for the University's General Education Program.

With this in mind, the Math Department provides assistance for students of all disciplines in order to complete their degrees at UTC. Featured below is a Career Map for undergraduates in the Math Department. Career Maps are created as a resource guide for preparation after graduation.

Pi Mu Epsilon and Scholarships

Our majors and graduate students are assigned advisors within the Math Department in order to help them navigate the degree requirements needed to graduate. The department also offers several scholarships and awards to outstanding students in the program, and grants membership into Pi Mu Epsilon, the Mathematics Honor Society.

Every year, the Department holds The Honors Day Reception and Awards Ceremony to honor the scholastic achievements of students and recognize the new inductees of Pi Mu Epsilon.
