New Trends in Differential and Difference Equations Conference
The New Trends in Differential and Difference Equations Conference was held on the University of Teneessee at Chattanooga campus on March 15-16, 2013. This conference was to honor the 70th birthday of Dr. John R. Graef, Department Head of the UTC Department of Mathematics. Differential and Difference Equations have been highly active areas of research for many years. This is due in part to their wide variety of application to many areas in engineering, physics, biological modeling, economics, etc. Boundary value problems, equations on time scales, fractional differential equations, impulsive systems, oscillation theory, differential inclusions and applications to population dynamics are all areas in which our honoree has been an active researcher. The intent of this conference was to bring together mathematicians who have directly contributed to the theory and applications of Differential and Difference Equations to discuss new results as well as new directions for future research.
This conference was supported by grants from UTC Faculty Development and the Unum Chair of Excellence of Applied Mathematics.
