Alumni, Retiree, TALC, and other Courtesy Card Services

Due to COVID-19, the UTC Library is currently only open to current UTC students, faculty, and staff.

UTC Alumni, UTC Retirees, current community borrowers, and members of the Tennessee Academic Library Consortium (TALC) may request an appointment to access library collections and services. Each request will be reviewed in light of our current COVID practices and restrictions, and a response provided within 48 hours during business days.

Alumni, retirees, current community borrowers, and TALC members will not have access to:

  • Mobile technology
  • Desktop technology
  • Study seats

Alumni, Retirees, current community borrowers, and TALC members will have access to:

  • Place a hold for a physical item in the circulating collection (book, dvd, etc.) and pick that item up from the library.
  • Request access to materials in Special Collections.
  • Assistance from a librarian for help with a research topic.
