Adept at troubleshooting and project management, Katie works on projects where the technical and the public spheres intersect, including things like the library's subject guides and OCLC Worldshare catalog. She also assists with the creation of back-office workflows in both the Materials Processing and Access Services departments. Katie joined UTC in December of 2011 after having worked with the University System of Georgia's GALILEO (Georgia Library Learning Online) for 9 years.

She holds a Bachelor's in English (1999) and an Master's in Information Science (2002) from the University of Tennessee.  When not at work or chasing after her very active daughter, Katie enjoys listening to records, cooking for friends, hiking in the mountains, perusing junk shops for great finds, ogling modern art and architecture, and getting down at impromptu dance parties.
