Map Personal Drive to Your Windows Computer (On Campus)

Personal drives must be created before your computer can be mapped to them. UTC faculty/staff members can request a personal drive by contacting Client Services.


  1. Open the Start menu
  2. Right click on ‘My Computer’
  3. Select ‘Map Network Drive…’
  4. Under the ‘Drive’ dropdown menu, select ‘P:’
  5. Under the ‘Folder’ field, enter ‘\\\users\vol1\utcid’
    • Replace ‘utcid’ with your UTC ID (ex. abc123)
  6. Check ‘Reconnect at logon’
  7. Check ‘Connect using different credentials’
  8. Select ‘Finish’
  9. Under the ‘Username’ field, enter your UTC ID with the domain specified (ex. UTC\abc123)
  10. Under the ‘Password’ field, enter your UTC password
  11. Select ‘OK’
