The UTC Master in Public Health is a rigorous, professional training program that
is a purposeful mix of classroom-based learning and applied field experiences. Our
goal is to provide training essential for working in public health and chronic disease
prevention settings. Course material is continually reinforced and expanded upon in
subsequent classes and applied in different public health settings.
Our core MPH classes are designed as in-person, face-to-face meetings to enhance interactions and sharing of experiences. Students will progress through the program as a cohort to ensure that they receive the highest level of academic and logistical support in graduating in a timely fashion. Students engage in a tight knit, learning community and develop bonds with other cohort members. These relationships serve as the foundation for professional networks that extend beyond the classroom and significantly enhance their future career development and professional advancement. Classes are scheduled in the evening to allow greater flexibility for working professionals. While core classes meet face-to-face, several elective courses are available online to allow for greater flexibility and freedom in designing a customized program of study.
