About the Youth Arts Institute
The Arts-Based Collaborative Youth Arts Institute offers programs for students across the 16-county, tri-state Chattanooga region of Southeast Tennessee, Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama that reach beyond opportunities offered elsewhere. Our mission is to encourage students to create and grow in an uplifting environment. Students learn skills beyond the arts, including leadership, confidence, and professionalism that will benefit them beyond their time with us.

Musical Theatre Performance Track: Rising 4th-9th graders
An enriching three-week intensive program in theatrical performance, production, and technique. Over the course of three weeks students will learn and perform Disney's The Lion King Jr, all while taking part in a rigorous curriculum that will introduce them to a range of theatrical skills. Students will have the opportunity to work with local and regional professionals in the arts including directors, choreographers, scenic designers, and musicians.

Theatrical Production and Design Track: Rising 4th-12th graders
An enriching three-week intensive program in set and costume design and theatrical production. Students will have the opportunity to use their own creativity to design for The Lion King Jr. Experience while working under the guidance of professional artists and designers.
