Connecting Campus to Community.

Welcome to the GSA's ML5K Race!

Our Vision

The Inaugural ML5K Race is brought to you by the Graduate Student Association of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as part of our effort to create sustainable programs that provide opportunities to connect graduate students across disciplines, campuses, and communities.

Our Mission

In honor of the rich legacy which the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga shares with the MLK Community, all proceeds from this year's race will be put toward the first Graduate Student Diversity Endowment, which will provide an annual scholarship to a minority student exhibiting academic excellence and a commitment to community service.

Hello runners!

I hope that you will join us for our inaugural race on April 7, 2018. UTC and Chattanooga are blessed to have a rich and diverse history, and I have a passion for providing opportunities in higher education for the entire community. I could not be more excited to contribute to a scholarship that recognizes the diversity of our students and the value that they bring to our campus and our community through their academic achievements and service.

Please also allow me to thank all of the committee members who have worked diligently to provide the best experience for everyone on race day, our volunteers who selflessly work on race day to make our event a success, and our sponsors who make this race possible for so many students, for their continued support and enthusiasm for this race!

We look forward to hosting all of our participants for a successful race this year and many years to come.

See you on race day!

Lindsay Cast, GSA Philanthropy Chair and Race Director
