GSA Officers 2017-2018

James Meyers - President

James is a Chattanooga native and is so excited to return to UTC to complete a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. After 20 years working in the real estate industry, both in Tennessee and in Los Angeles, California, his goal with this degree is to research how data collection processes can be applied to physical systems within a home and the influence this could have on marketability in the industry.

Jame's wife (a fellow UTC grad!) and he are excited to welcome their second son in November.

As President of the GSA, James looks forward to promoting the Graduate school and helping students get more connected to all that our University has to offer.

Christina Maximos - Vice President

Rachel Hoffman - Treasurer

Alongside GSA involvement, Rachel is working as a graduate assistant in UTC's College of Business while attending classes full-time. Rachel made the decision to join the GSA Exec Board in order to enrich her graduate school experience further through dedicating my time to a worthy cause right here on campus.

As my fellow officers and Rachel began preparing for the 2017-2018 school year, Rachel could easily sense that good things are coming this way for the organization; the great effect this will have on the present graduate community is clear. She is immensely thankful for this opportunity. Let's go, Mocs!

Bronte Craig - Secretary

Brontë graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nursing in 2014. After that she worked as a critical care nurse in Lexington, Kentucky for two years. She moved back home to Chattanooga last year to attend UTC and study in the master's of science in nursing program. Brontë is a second year student in the family nurse practitioner specialty, and is currently a graduate assistant with the School of Nursing. She is very excited to be the GSA secretary, and cannot wait to see what the 2017-2018 school year holds!

Tessa Piety- Public Relations

Tessa graduated from Berry College in 2016 with a bachelor of science degree in political science. Tessa is currently a second- year master of science student at UTC in criminal justice with a focus on cyber-sex crimes. She will be pursuing a doctorate degree upon graduation. Tessa comes from a large family (she is one of twenty-nine children), so she loves to be around people, which is why it is no surprise that she is looking forward to meeting all the graduate students that choose to participate in GSA events!
